I once mentioned in ...
I once mentioned in a lecture that I recently looked at a picture of myself when I was thirty and said to myself, "I thought this was inadequate?" I watched the room fill up with knowing smiles from every woman who was past her youth. Who among us has not looked back on a period we thought was lacking, wishing we could go back to it now and experience the wonders we couldn't see at the time? The truth is that every stage of our lives is perfect, if we allow ourselves to really live in it. If we concentrate on the present, contributing and showing up for it as fully as we can, then any moment can have its blessings, and the future will unfold in the direction of ever greater good.
