Living Unattached

Discover
your heart's inner desire,
that secret Tao center,
and see societal substantiations
are poor substitutes
for your genuine nature,

Let go
of organizational codes
that try to label
intelligence, morality, and divinity,

Be free
of appearances of importance,
and cast off
attachment to outer forms
of specialness and selfishness,

Shift your energy
to harmony
and generosity,
by trusting, first and foremost,
in your deeper self.
