Living without Striving
Alone, drifting,
not knowing where,
like a newborn baby
before it learns to smile,
Without a place to go,
with no worries, no mind,
a wave on the ocean,
as aimless as the wind,
still, with instinct enough
to suckle
the all-providing Mother's breast,
Immersing in the current now,
surrendering to the Tao,
letting go of striving,
simply arriving,
At a relaxed fearless attitude
bearing witness to abounding abundance,
without the illusion
of needing what's not,
Willing to admit wonder
at the endless universe,
bowing to the Force
that brought you here,
from nowhere.
